I’m listening to The Original Rudeboys and what I hear is quite original. While their parts sounds like something we all heard before, the blend of it all is something different and exciting. Their sound could only be compared to what Mike Skinner (The Streets), Jason Mraz and Jake Shimabukuro (OK, not Jake Shimabukuro, just his Ukulele) would sound if they worked together and did that a bit clumsily. Nevertheless, The Original Rudeboys have their charm in that weird blend of different styles and a bit of chaos, something that fits these late summer days.
The Original Rudeboys debut album This Life was released this March and it spent some time warming up to fit my ears, but just listen to such songs as Traveling Man, Stars In My Eyes or Complicated and the boys will stick to your ears too.
